Ali raced professionally on the downhill scene in the 90’s from ’93 – ’99 with the likes of Steve Peat, Jason McRoy, Rob Warner, Andrew Titley etc back in the day.
Injury lead to Ali stepping away from racing at which point he picked up an airbrush and started experimenting with painting motorbike helmets for his friends. The feedback he received was amazing, Ali had discovered a hidden talent. With anything practice makes perfect and Ali’s work just got better and better and he decided to give it a go painting for people other then his friends. Fatcreations was born. Ali has painted all sorts of things from cars, motorbikes, helmets, sunglasses he even has a customized fridge in his kitchen, but his real passion lies with bikes.
Ali’s love of all things on 2 wheels has taken him to the world of bike restoration and custom paint and Fatcreations is going from strength to strength with regular bespoke frame builders using him to finish their beautiful frames with his outstanding artwork. Bikes that Fatcreations painted won awards at Bespoke UK 2015 including Toad Custom Cycles – Best in Show public vote, Swarf Cycles – Best Off Road Bike, Rowan Frameworks – Best of Show and Best Newcomer.
Fatcreations was also featured in Dirt Magazine in April 2015, with a fabulous artical by Geoff Waugh.
